Get ready to get rowdy—at In Cahoots, Mission Valley's hip, western dance club. Voted Best Nightclub by San Diego residents, In Cahoots calls itself a “two-step above the rest.” Since it first opened in1992, they’ve been raising the bar for Country Western nightclubs, bootin’ up promotions, headliner concerts, and a creating a "home-away-from-home" feelin’ that makes one want to party hardy with old friends and new. The 'saloon' decor is upbeat and 100% 'American Country'—the flag comes down and the hats come off during the patriotic songs. Full of tappin' boots and twirling skirts, it’s like a "Cheers" bar where, if you go often enough, you’ll get to know all the familiar faces. And no, you don’t have to wear Western gear.
If you're ready to line dance, this is the place. If you just want to watch, you can look down into the sunken wood dance floor from all four sides, as dancers switch from the two-step to the electric slide to the boot-scoot-boogie. Don’t know the latest two step? No problem. The gents and ladies at In Cahoots offer free country dance lessons five nights a week. They’ll teach you everything from the Cowboy Cha Cha to the Dallas Shuffle.
Wednesday is KSON night—by far the busiest night, and mostly a college crowd. That’s because Wednesdays the drinks are just $2 at any of their three complete full service bars. Thursdays are reserved for In Cahoots’ open Jack and Jill amateur dance contest with cash prizes. Steak, spuds and suds are only $5.95 from 5 to 9 p.m. Order up an In Cahoots 22oz. Beer Mug—full of beer and ice—for $9 and get $3 refills when you bring your mug back every Thursday. Sunday Nights are Gamedays with Guitar Heroes & The Bud Light Rock/Paper Scissors Tournament.
Birthday Bashes are scheduled for the first Saturday of each month (except holidays or the first day of the month in which case Birthday Bashes are held the second Saturday of the month). There are gifts and prizes, and all guests with birthdays during that month pay no cover, receive a goodie bag filled with cool stuff, and are automatically registered to win one of the several big time prizes—like Western Wear from Boot Barn.
In Cahoots’ multi-level facility features a Texas-size outdoor deck, and a “Ponderosa” of free parking. Like they say, it’s the most fun you can have with yer boots on.
