Well! Tonight is the big night! And I’m excited! The night of Sutra Lounge’s Labor Day weekend “BLACK Party”!! A night where a strict dress-code of all patrons wearing all-black is enforced for this annual event, and I can’t wait!....With great anticipation, I make the drive all the way to Orange County to find Sutra (located at 1870 Harbor Blvd. in something called the Triangle Square in the city of Costa Mesa) and---hmmm, how can I say this in one word…. PASS!!!

“The Black Party” (and Sutra Lounge in general) was a bust. A big fat BUST….I don’t know what the rest of the clubs are like in the O.C., but I sure hope Sutra isn’t indicative of the rest of them. If it is, I see absolutely no reason to make that long, long drive down there! First of all, nobody came….Okay, I’m generalizing. A few older people showed up---and that was just for dinner. But beyond that, there was no real socializing going on.
